The Business of Overlanding Has a Newsletter Now
The Overlanding Crowd, and some deep dives into newer outdoors focused businesses. Also, Product Market fit update.
Hi All,
And happy Friday. I hope business is going well and everyone is planning for a busy summer season.
At CRUA we’ve been doing a lot of work on Amazon this year, and we’ll keep you posted with insights as the summer goes. We’re also launching a new Kickstarter in June. We played around with other launch plans, and I swore Kickstarter was in the rear view mirror, but given the current tariff situation it helps to go with tried and tested.
Anyhow, as you may have read, we’re launching 2 new (free) newsletters.
The Overlanding Crowd. This is a new publication that will be focused on the business of overlanding and vehicle based camping & travel. Some stuff will deal with hardcore overlanding, and some with a focus on the newer type of less extreme overlander. I’ve developed a social listening tool (with AI of course!) which will keep us up to date on weekly trends and discussion topics from the community as well, which I’ll share. Excited about this. You can sign up here as I want to keep it separate from this newsletter.
I’m also launching a second weekly newsletter to this list, which will be focusing on newer businesses in the Outdoors Industry. This was built from feedback we received in polls, with a lot of people asking for newer case studies of less well known brands and businesses. So we will, initially twice a month on Thursday, starting mid June. So please keep an eye out. And if you think your business or service might make a good case study for this and this an upside, please reach out on the email below.
Also, we’ve had a lot of good discussions around helping each other with Product / Market fit. This is something that’s back on the radar now (after a little tariff issue!) and I will be sending some updates as we go, please keep an eye on this newsletter. As mentioned before, if we don’t get product / market fit right, the rest will eventually become irrelevant.
