This week - help us to shape our outdoors industry B2B newsletter
We'd like your input into how we can best shape this newsletter for the future
Hi Everyone.
Slight change this week. Instead of the usual article, I want your help to shape this newsletter. As mentioned from the start, this is to be a newsletter for people with a professional or very deep vested interest in the outdoor industry, as an ‘insightful’ value add.
I don’t want this to be just another news source. There are others doing that. We want this to be insightful and helpful. So, I’d like your help. We have now been publishing for sixteen weeks (here are the publications so far: https://dereksdeepdive.beehiiv.com/) believe it or not.
Now, it’s time to plan for the future, and we want you to have your say. We now have 2,300 subscribers (more, but we don’t continue to send to non-engaged readers - hence we can keep trackable open rate well over 40% - which is good.)
Anyhow, I have 5 questions, if I may. BeeHiiv’s polling is a little awkward so you’ll have to click into each individually. But it’ll be worth it. Thanks in advance, as it helps ensure that we produce something that’ll be worth your time reading.
As well as the weekly email as it is today, would you like to see an additional email with a very deep dive into specific subjects? E.g. global supply chain options and D2C for outdoors? This would be much more in depth - 5000 words x 3 weeks each? |
As the above would likely require us having to engage paid researchers, would you pay a fair month subscription fee for such content? |
Are there any other B2B emails which you subscribe to from other industries or segments that you think we could learn from? Please leave names in comments. |
Is there any other outdoors industry (professional) publication that you subscribe to, that you feel is a very good value add, and is best in class? Please leave the name in poll comments. It can be niche, or vertical specific. |
If you had a magic wand, what information would be the most valuable to you in your business endeavors? |
Thanks for helping. We can devise the way forward together, to make sure this is the best B2B outdoors industry publication that it can be. The best available. We can also consider more niche publications, but that’s later. First things first.
And if you have additional feedback or suggestions, please feel free to email me directly on [email protected]
Happy camping, from a campsite in southern France!
